Anxiety

This was painted during a tough period of my life. As a detail-oriented person, the sloppiness demonstrates the mess I was at the time.

Here is a detailed analysis of my piece, as written by a friend of mine:

The eyes makes it clear that it is the one beside her, her partner, she is worried about.
The mouth indicates that she is uncomfortable, but bites her lips instead of speaking up.
The color is drained from her face, even introducing colors of grey, as if this is draining the life out of her.
The background is blurred, either they are clouds that have passed, or they are coming from a storm that has not cleared yet.
The hair is in front of her face on the side away from her partner, and behind on the side of her partner, showing that she is solely focused on her partner, and is not worried about who might be to her right (see is not looking for someone else).
And then we have the red scarf, that tells us that this is about passion and love, that her feelings are worn on her skin at this moment, because even though she is wearing a scarf, her throat is still exposed, a classical sign of vulnerability.
